The marathon or the Pavillion?

We considered running in the marathon. It didn't take long!
We did walk back towards the pier as the runners passed our hotel. It is just as well that we decided to visit the Pavillion

A lone runner and a cheer squad. The water is behind.

After visiting the Kew Palace of King George III today we visited the Palace built by his son the then Prince Regent and later King George IV. Lots of controversy as he is said to have had 70 mistresses and that is only the ones recorded! It was eventually sold to the city so is the only Royal Palace ever sold. It is a large complex and we visited some beautiful rooms. No photo rule!

The best that I can show you of inside! No Didn't sneak a photo but did buy a postcard!
The rooms were magnificent. Said by some to be one of the great buildings of Europe.

We had lunch at a pub next to the Choccywoccydoodah. It was a warm day with about 20 celcius and 25 in London but we were in the wind tunnel so moved .

The Sunday roast in the local pub is a great tradition that we were happy to follow.

Not running gear just keeping warm. Seaside near our hotel. We pick up a car tomorrow and head west!
